The Ghost in Daylight 4/5 Given the number of LPs under his belt (six), it’s odd that Nick Talbot’s star hasn’t brightened more corners. But then, the singer-songwriter and producer seems to prefer the shadows. The Ghost in Daylight is aptly named – a haunting record realised in soft greys and sepia. Sweetly mournful and malevolent, it mixes acoustic guitar work with electronics, moving through pastoral pop, drone and ambient glitch with mastery. A magnificent slow burner.
