If this is what fighting for your right to party looks like in 2013, we’re calling the cops
2/5 It’s not just Ke$ha’s crudeness that annoys us: it’s her Eminem-aping whine, her posturing and the strained end-rhymes (‘degenerates’ rhymed with ‘misfits’ anyone?) that litter her second album. Her collaboration with Iggy Pop, ‘Dirty Love’, suggests she’s trying to emulate Peaches – but in a more obviously chart-friendly way. But, unlike Peaches, there’s no real controversy here.
The lively club production makes it hard to stay stony-faced, but the majority of tracks on Warrior veer off into the same, dull semi-rap style. If this is what fighting for your right to party looks like in 2013, we’re calling the cops.
