Omega Dubai Desert Classic 2015 The Omega Desert Classic is a PGA European Tour sanctioned event which offers a US$2.5 million (Dhs9.1 million) prize pool. The event attracts some of the biggest names in golf including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and 2014 winner Stephen Gallacher. Previous winners include Seve Ballesteros (1992), Ernie Els (1994, 02, 05), and José Maria Olazábal (1998). Dhs175-675. Various times from 7.30am.January 29-February 1, 2015. Dubai Tour 2015 The Dubai Tour is a professional cycling race that will take place over four days and four stages covering iconic locations across the city. The event will host 16 teams of eight riders each covering a total distance of 663km. One of the world’s finest road bicycle racers, Vincenzo ‘The Shark’ Nibali is this year’s guest of honour. The 30-year-old Italian is considered one of the strongest race riders in the world today and he is one of only two current pro riders to have won all three grand tours – Vuelta a Espana (2010), Giro d’Italia (2013) and Tour de France (2014). The two-day music festival will feature nonstop hits with back-to-back live sets from Iggy Azelea, Kid Ink, The Script, Kiesza, Ella Eyre, Jeremih, Bastille, Cris Cab, Gorgon City, Rixton and Tinashe. Ed Sheeran in Dubai
Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will perform for the first time in the UAE as part of his X Album World Tour. One Direction – The On the Road Again Tour 2015
In 2013 One Direction released their record-breaking third album Midnight Memories, which saw them named as the IFPI’s Global Artist of 2013 for becoming the biggest selling act in the world. They also became the first ever band to have their first three albums debut at No.1 in the US Billboard Chart, hitting the top spot in a further 30 countries worldwide. Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2015
This year’s edition of the festival sees sixteen-time Grammy award-winning musician Sting headlining alongside American singer-songwriter John Legend, acclaimed American jazz bassist, cellist and singer Esperanza Spalding, returning British favourite James Blunt and many more. Blended 2015 While the official line-up has yet to be announced, last year’s included Aloe Blacc, Elvis Costello and Diana Krall, so it’s bound to be a good one. April 30- May 1, 2015. Ladies Day Out 2015 Ladies Day Out is the only consumer event of its kind in the UAE and is set to attract more than 10,000 women through the doors in just three days.
