One of Dubai’s most popular sports bars has reopened its doors. Manzil Downtown’s Nezassausi has had an overhaul, with the aim of returning the venue to the centre of Downtown Dubai’s sports action. There are now 19 screens throughout the bar, showing a range of sports including football, rugby and NBA. It also has an interactive jukebox and a kitchen serving ‘gourmet’ pub food inspired by New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.
Moving over to New Dubai, a new ladies’ night is starting at one of the city’s nightspots and restaurants.
China Grill in The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina is launching its Madame Butterfly night on Tuesday April 21. There will be an unlimited selection of drinks and 50 percent off food for ladies, as well as a fashion district in collaboration with Light Consulting. Music will be provided by Virgin Radio’s Major Kong and Myles, who will be playing a selection of nu disco, soulful cuts and deep house.
In other news, Stylish venue GQ Bar is going all arty this month. Hot on the heels of the city’s Art Season, the bar in Business Bay’s JW Marriott Marquis Dubai will showcase artworks by three abstract artists – Musab Abdul Qader Al Rais, Abdel Fattah Hraoui and Niveen Ezz Eldeen – until Wednesday April 22.
Sticking with the same hotel, live music fans are in for a weekly treat at the Aqua Poolside Grill and Bar. Ohm Events has launched The Lemon Jam, which promises live bands and DJs every Saturday from April 11 at 2pm until 10pm, along with mixologists making mixed drinks and fresh lemonade.
