We dig up the juicy rumours, new openings and hot events in Dubai’s music and nightlife scene
With the summer season coming to an end and the nightlife scene getting busier, Hendricks Bar at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach has launched three new weekly themed nights. Starting on a Tuesday, patrons can choose from a selection of customised cigars and shorts at ‘Cigar Social Tuesdays’. A master cigar roller will also be present to handcraft them for experienced connoisseurs. Every Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm, guests can enjoy an unlimited flow of fine grape selected by the resort’s resident sommelier. Friday nights see live jazz performances from 10pm to 1am.
Other brand-new weekly nights include Cavalli Club’s ‘Paradiso’. Taking place every Friday from 9.30pm until 3am, the club will celebrate the launch of Roberto Cavalli’s latest fragrance and see a roster of DJs playing open format music.
Fans of live music can head to Tr!beca Kitchen + Bar at JA Ocean View Hotel, JBR, every Saturday from 6pm to 10pm to Tribeca Sessions and catch a series of performances by local artists who will play their own original tracks.
Friday brunchers can head to El Sur at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, where a new brunch, the ‘Siesta Fiesta’, is set to launch in September. Late weekend risers can head down to the Spanish venue to enjoy unlimited food and beverages from 1.30pm to 4.30pm for Dhs295 per person. Soft drink packages cost from Dhs195 per person.
Finally, football fanatics can take advantage of special dining offers this season, and enjoy selected drinks for Dhs25 during English Premier League games at Madison Sports Bar at the Ibis Hotel in Al Barsha.
