Qurious’s Intimacy Boat Party hit Dubai, we hopped aboard for a nosy around and a day of intimacy…
In all the time we’ve spent in Dubai, our best moments by far have either been in clubs or out at sea. So thank goodness the Qurious team – they’re the ones who helped put together the early Secret parties on Al Maya island off Abu Dhabi – are here to combine the two with their new monthly event, the Intimacy Boat Party.
This isn’t, in case you were wondering, related to the Caseta Cruise that started in November and is currently on a short hiatus; while that was more about enjoying a chilled sundowner and then partying at Barasti, this aims to do a real clubbing event at sea.
It all kicks off on the creek opposite the British Embassy, where the expectant punters will be ushered aboard the massive Qurious catamaran, which houses three floors of clubbing fun. Inside, they’ll find a large bar area, but we expect most people will scramble up to the top floor, where they can dance in the sea breeze to funky and soulful house from DJs Lady Red Label and Selina, or to the smaller and slightly more intimate ground-floor terrace for a spot of mingling. And if spending the day out at sea weren’t relaxing enough, you can enjoy free massages provided by trained masseuses.
Food is provided by the crew, which is handy, because nobody wants to spend hours at sea with nothing to eat. Halfway through the boat will stop out in the ocean for banana boat rides and ‘water activities’. We’re not quite sure what that involves, but we’re perfectly happy to find out, oh yes.
And though the trip ends at around 6pm, the party doesn’t end there: transport will be arranged to take the revellers to Chi. There they will have exclusive entry into Chi White, where a special Intimacy party is being held. Flagged as a ‘VVVVVIP room’ (which is pretty important-sounding – any more V’s and you’d be King of the Moon), it will have an exclusive DJ set, not to mention discounted food and drinks.
Tickets are limited to just 250 – split evenly between men and women – so if you’re interested, get in touch with Qurious Asap on 04 351 1117 or firstname.lastname@example.org. And don’t worry if you missed out – they’ll be doing another one at the end of March.
