The tour sold out in multiple cities across the world (including Dubai), pushing it into the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s list of Top 10 Grossing Tours that year. The tour’s set list included a much-talked about acoustic version of If You Had My Love, as well as all-out dance numbers and the elaborate outfits she’s known for (think feathered skirts and sparkly catsuits).
Lopez also appeared at Cavalli Club with her then-partner Casper Smart and partied at White X Beach Club at Rixos The Palm (now El Chiringuito).
But that wasn’t all she was in town for. She’s also made a surprise guest appearance at the opening of a new Audi showroom. The car company was the official gig sponsor, but unconfirmed rumours speculated that she had been paid a cool US$250,000 (that’s more than Dhs918,000) for the event. Audi, however, would not confirm how much she had been paid.
Lopez was in town again for a dazzling show that closed the Dubai World Cup in 2014. It was another glitzy-costumed extravaganza. The set lasted for more than an hour and featured all the extravagant costume changes and ’90s hits you could hope for.
Her next show – on Friday November 17 at Autism Rocks Arena – is a one-off show, so get ready for an evening of glam, glitter, nostalgia and epic dance numbers.
