Dubai Music Conference has been postponed.
The weekend-long celebration of all musical things electronic has been forced to pull the plug on the inaugural party, citing 'an unfortunate set of issues'.
Organisers had hoped to use experience working on similar events in Miami, Ibiza and Europe, to lure some of the world's leading DJs. However, a week until the party was due to get started, they have had to push things back.
In a statement, founders Blue Leaf revealed: 'An unfortunate set of issues that started off with the delay in getting our event license, and which led to difficulties securing dates with our headliners', has caused the postponement.
They added: 'We have now resolved our issues, and will shortly announce a new date and venue for DMC.'
Set to feature more than just live performances from the likes of Hollaphonic, Coyu, Olivier Giacomotto, Tube and Berger, Juliet Sikora and Paji, DMC had high hopes of setting the industry standard in the Middle East.
Much like the world famous Winter Music Conference in the USA, there were plans for debates, open forum discussions and other workshops to inspire the next generation of DJs.
Stay tuned to Time Out Dubai for more on the rescheduled date.
