The pre-Christmas show is part of the Brit’s Wonderful Crazy Night tour and is his first live show in Dubai. With more than 4,000 concerts under his belt spread across five decades, the Rocket Man singer is one of the biggest artists of all time. And a trophy cabinet of 38 gold and 27 platinum albums proves it.
Next up, Selena Gomez. The princess of pop can lay claim to being one of the most sought after stars in the world, and on Saturday November 18 Revival will roll into town between European and American legs of the world tour.
Unlike her old sidekick Justin Bieber, who was famously two hours late for one of his Dubai shows, Gomez’s problem might simply be having enough tickets to satisfy demand – after all, with 89 million followers on Instagram, she’s certainly capable of smashing the 25,000-person record for a single show in Dubai, set by One Direction in 2015.
Then there’s the festival, taking place on Friday October 28. To be known as Fiesta De Los Muertos, the line-up so far includes Major Lazer (Lean On) and the recently reformed ’90s pop sensation All Saints. The Mariachis, the remix masters, are also on the bill with local stars Hollaphonic. Several more names will be announced in the coming weeks. And lest we forget we’ve still got Zayn Malik to come on Friday October 7, too.
117Live has also confirmed that March 3 and 31 next year should be kept clear in your diaries. Stay close to Time Out for more soon.
