More to check out: gigs and shows in 2017
Gorillaz Gorillaz, Damon Albarn’s legends of truly alternative music, are coming to Dubai this October. The brilliant virtual band are headlining the Fiesta De Los Muertes Halloween festival on Friday October 27 at the Autism Rocks Arena, in what will be their first ever UAE performance. They don’t tour often, and have a few memorable live performances under their belt, including the headline slot on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2010, and the Brit Awards in 2006, so we cannot wait for them to get here.
Ed Sheeran For one night only on Thursday November 23, the global superstar will be rocking out at the Dubai Autism Rocks Arena as part of his 2017 world tour. Spotify users love him, having smashed records for the most streams in one week and one day thanks to his tune Shape of You, and the highest number of streams ever of a single on the day of release.
Calvin Harris & Pink The first two global superstars have been announced for this year’s F1 party in Abu Dhabi. And the show looks set to be bigger and better than ever. Calvin Harris has been confirmed as the Thursday (November 23) night headline act at this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam after-race concert. Meanwhile, Pink has also been confirmed, with the entire Yas Marina circuit being painted – appropriately – pink to mark the occasion. Pink, who has racked up millions of record sales all over the globe during a glittering career spanning twenty years, has been handed the honour of headlining the prestigious after-race concert on Sunday November 26.
