Time Out Dubai gets an exclusive look at the brand-new nightlife venue
A brand-new Lock, Stock & Barrel is in town, and Time Out Dubai got an exclusive first look.
The huge new nightspot is based at the Rixos Premium Dubai in JBR and is now up-and-running.
This fresh, new space is the second branch of the popular bar in the city. The Barsha Heights venue is a favourite among Dubai dwellers, and for good reason – this year it won Best Bar Food at our Restaurant Awards and Bar of the Year at our Music & Nightlife Awards.
The new Lock, Stock & Barrel is massive. It’s more than twice the size of the original (at around 22,000 sq ft) and set over two floors.
There’s a huge bar area downstairs, complete with pool tables, plus a separate, light and bright bar at the back, overlooking the Rixos pool.
The upper level houses a casual dining area, boasting plenty of food truck-style options, including pizzas, tacos, hummus, dim sum and British eats, although you’ll have to wait a couple of weeks until you can sample these.
And, like the original, this venue will also host plenty of live musicians. Gorgeous George and 13 Daze will be regulars at the bar. There are also daily happy hours from 6pm to 8pm, and a Tuesday night ladies’ night with three free drinks for women between 6pm and 1am.
Also in the pipeline from the same organisers is a new nightclub, Inner City Zoo. This has yet to confirm an opening date, but it’s likely to be within the next few weeks. It also sits in the Rixos Premium Dubai.
More of place to get dressed-up for and dance at than LSB 2.0, Inner City Zoo promises live music and stage performances, as well as chart tunes. The club will be set in a 10,000 sq ft area at the hotel and will host up to 400 partygoers. With LED lighting, private VIP booths and a circular dancefloor it looks set to be a swanky place to dance the night away.
