The Barsha Heights bar brings Latin, funk and urban nights through the week
Up for a bit of live music this week? The Clavichord, in the Somewhere Hotel, Barsha Heights, has just unveiled a huge live entertainment programme throughout the week.
The trendy lounge bar will be putting on some cracking live music three times a week, plus a fourth, DJ-based night to enjoy. Starting on Mondays, head over from 8.30pm until 11.15pm for The Grand, a night of chilled-out live music by local artist, singer and songwriter Leanna Kerry (who also regularly appears at The Irish Village).
On Tuesdays, there’s a night of old-school R&B, hip-hop and current top 40 beats at Urban Heat, which runs between 8.30pm and 2am. On Thursdays get your groove on at Boogie Down Thursdays with funk, soul and jazz band Nuvo Soul providing your soundtrack from 9pm until 11.45pm.
Finally, unleash some Latin moves at the Fiesta Salsa Night, a late-night party with some super-funky rhythms coming from South American band Cubaneo from 8.30pm until 2am. You can also pick up some Cuban mixed drinks for Dhs29 all night too.
On top of some cracking live music (for more nights click here), there are also some big promotions running at this New York-inspired lounge through September There’s a daily happy hour featuring 50 percent off all house beverages between 5pm and 8pm. In-house guests can get 30 percent off full bar all night from 5pm until 2am. Emirates crew can get a 20 percent discount every day from 6pm until 11pm upon presenting their Emirates FACE card.
Ladies can get three complimentary beverages from 6pm until 10pm on Mondays, and you can pick up a bottle of sparkling grape for Dhs75 on Tuesday between 6pm and midnight. Finally, Thursday brings special promotions featuring a bottle of premium beverage for Dhs499, a bottle of selected house grape for Dhs99 and selected house shorts for Dhs15.
