The singer songwriter’s November gig is going ahead as planned, and Dubai can’t wait
After Ed Sheeran recently confirmed that an elbow and wrist fracture forced him to cancel many dates of his Asia and Middle East tour, it left us here at Time Out Towers in a bit of a panic.
Well, our fears have been allayed, because it has just been confirmed that the Dubai leg of the world’s biggest singer songwriter tour will be going ahead as planned on Thursday November 23. And we cannot wait.
Gigs in Tokyo, Taipei, Osaka, Seoul and Hong Kong have all been cancelled, much to the dismay of thousands of Sheeran fans based in the Far East. Fortunately for Dubai, his much anticipated show at the Autism Rocks Arena is still going ahead.
Thomas Ovesen, the CEO of 117 Live, the organisers of Sheeran’s show in Dubai, had this to say: “We have now received a further update from Ed Sheeran’s team regarding his show at the Autism Rocks Arena on Thursday 23rd November. After a consultation with his doctor, his injuries are healing well and he has confirmed that the show will still be going ahead as planned. We are glad Ed’s recovery is going speedily and the team here at 117 Live can’t wait to welcome him to Dubai for what will be an epic show.”
So, good news Sheeran fans, and with less than a month to go, it’s time to start getting excited.
