EXCLUSIVE: Jason Manford returning for Dubai NYE gig
Brilliant UK comedian to see in the New Year with brand-new show
Top UK comedian Jason Manford is coming back to Dubai, this time to help see the New Year in with some massive lols.
The Mancunian, returning with The Laughter Factory for a NYE special, won Best Comedy Gig for his 2016 gig at the Time Out Dubai Nightlife Awards 2017, and now he’s back in town with a brand-new show. Muddle Class is about Manford’s upbringing in a working class family, and how he’s getting over the confusion of becoming increasingly middle class with age.
Having spent much of the last year turning his hand to stage theatre, most notably playing Caractacus Potts in the critically-acclaimed UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in a 12-month run, Manford is ready to embark on another huge tour, and will be playing three dates in the UAE at the turn of the year.
So if you’re after some big chuckles on Sunday December 31, get your tickets now for the gig that takes place at the Grand Millennium Dubai in Barsha Heights.
This is just a snippet of what you can expect.
“I’m hugely excited to be coming back to Dubai again with my brand-new stand-up comedy show,” said Manford. “My new show is funnier than ever so if you’ve seen me before and had a great night, you will love it. Alternatively, if you’ve seen me before and not enjoyed it, you probably still won’t…”
After seeing in the New Year, Manford will then head to surrounding emirates Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday January 4 for a night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Resort and Spa on Marjan Island, before heading to Abu Dhabi for a night at the Park Rotana on Friday January 5.
Tickets start from Dhs195 for early bird regular seating, but go up to Dhs295 if you don’t get in there quick, so don’t hang around.
Fun fact:Manfordis also an incredibly talented opera singer, having won ITV talent show Born To Shine before joining tenor Alfie Boe on tour. He has also performed in West-End musical Sweeney Todd and most recently released his first album featuring a range of his favourite tracks from the world of musical theatre.
