Mel C and Lemar supporting Backstreet Boys in Dubai
’90s and ’00s pop stars coming to town for Blended 2018 in April
Last month, Dubai lost its collective mind when we announced that Backstreet Boys are coming back to town in April.
The boy band is coming to headline Blended 2018 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday April 20, returning to the city for the first time since performing here in 2009.
Now, we’ve just found out who will be supporting the Backstreet Boys, and it’s good news for fans of the Spice Girls and early 2000s pop R&B – because Mel C and Lemar are going to be jetting in for the one-off gig.
As talk continues over a 2018 Spice Girls reunion, which would surely be one of the biggest pop reunions ever, Mel C will bring a string of hits with her for the night, for which she’ll be the main support act. Some of her top tunes include When You’re Gone featuring Bryan Adams…
…and proper trance tune I Turn To You.
Joining Mel C is Lemar, who had massive chart success in the early 2000s with tunes like 50/50 (released all the way back in 2003), and 2004’s If There’s Any Justice.
Blended is turning out to be a massive night for pop fans, so go and get your tickets sorted now, costing Dhs350. From Dhs350. Fri April 20. Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Dubai Media City, www.800tickets.com.
