But a massive refurb is coming to one of the city's favourite clubs
While you may have heard that Nasimi Beach is closing down, thankfully the beach club is set to continue life anew after a massive refurb of the club takes place this year.
The Palm Jumeirah hangout, found at Atlantis the Palm, is set to call an end to life in its current form on Friday May 4, and is going to be bringing DJ and producer Example to its famous stage for one massive party to see the club off for the time being.
But, rest assured, the club will be back, and it will be “bolder and better” when it returns at the end of 2018.
“Nasimi Beach, Bar and Restaurant will undergo an exciting redesign project for 2018,” the beach club said in an official statement released exclusively to Time Out Dubai. “The destination will therefore be closed until Q4 2018 with an introduction to a new concept – bolder and better.”
The club joins other famous Dubai party spots 360˚ and Societe Dubai to have announced closure in recent weeks, but thankfully Nasimi won’t be gone forever.
Having hosted acts from Rudimental to David Guetta and Steve Aoki, plus local DJ sensations Hollaphonic and some truly epic New Year’s Eve bashes, Nasimi has been home to some of the city’s biggest and best day-to-night parties over the years. Thankfully, there’s a lot more to come from the club, and no doubt some huge announcements, beach parties and festivals set to UK hit-maker Example will be on the decks for the final night, performing some of his massive tunes including Kickstarts, Watch the Sun Come Up and Stay Awake.
It’ll be free entry for the Farewell Nasimi Full Moon Festival, which will see us say goodbye to Nasimi Beach for the time being, with drinks promotions set to run all night long, with select beverages available for Dhs30. Also on the night we're looking forward to seeing a DJ David Craig performance, plus Charl Chaka, Adam Baluch and David Da Luca.
It's going to be a big night.
We’re hoping to see something big coming from the club when it re-opens (likely to be in the fourth quarter of 2018) in the not-too-distant future, and while nothing has been confirmed for the refurb just yet, we can’t wait to find out what’s coming next for one of Dubai’s most famous clubs.
