Ramadan officially began on July 20 this year.

During the Holy Month, all live music performances and DJ sets will stop and most bars will only serve alcohol after 8pm.

Most nightclubs will remain closed until the end of the month and opening times may vary.

Time Out advises you to call ahead and check details before making plans for the evening.

For more information about Ramadan check the Time Out guide to the Holy Month.
