Le Classique, Emirates Golf Club
Nominated for Best French

Being one of the oldest restaurants in the city, Le Classique certainly lives up to its name, serving authentic French dishes such as homemade French onion soup, snails, foie gras, beef fillet and Crêpe Suzette, to name but a few. Overlooking the lush greenery of the Emirates Golf Club, it’s worth sitting outside on the terrace if the weather permits. The menu, although very traditional, has a fair number of tempting dishes from which to choose, but less so when it comes to desserts. These aside, the beef fillet is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, as are the scallops. Le Classique may not be one of the newer, up-and-coming venues but there’s a reason why it’s been open for longer than most veteran expats have been in the city; with its value for money, attentive staff and staple classic dishes, it’s worth a visit.
Open Tue-Sun noon-3pm, 7pm-midnight. Emirates Golf Club, Emirates Hills (04 417 9999).
