A great (and cheap!) place to have dinner and watch the world go by. There’s outdoor seating on the edge of Beach Road where a mix of locals and expats chat over a mixed grill or a milkshake. The menu, meanwhile, features everything from chicken tikka masala to crispy fried noodles and lamb kebabs, as well as some very fruity cocktails (perhaps not the most masculine of beverages, but delicious nonetheless). Our recommendation is the hearty biryani. It’s also worth noting that The Chalet offers affordable lunch deals for Dhs18 to Dhs20, which include a main, soup and a soft drink.

Fantastic little restaurant near Jumeirah Public Beach. Cheap, tasty grills, fresh salads, creamy morish milkshakes, topped off with friendly service. Highly recommend!

Their special Turkish marinade for their grill rocks!!! Ok on the Indian food too, but ALL the grills are excellent, like eating at a 5 star restaurant for 3 star pricing... or less. Very good value. Try it, right about now... weekdays got less crowd and enjoy their outdoor seatings. Job well done, surviving through long years and remaining consistently good.
