This restaurant won’t win any awards for style – the decor is kooky in a dated kind of way, and the atmosphere is, at times, left wanting, but Fish Basket is all about the food. While the staff are a little too keen to lead you over to the impressive seafood display and encourage you to order as much as humanly possible, be wary of over ordering (it's easily here). Instead, tell them your budget, your fish of choice, and how you’d like it cooked and leave the rest to them. From luscious prawns to scrumptious scallops, everything at Fish Basket is top notch. Some of the dishes can be over salted, and some of the trickier fish need a thorough deboning, but all in all, this is smashing stuff.

Fish is fresh and delicious. Service was attentive, and their recommendations were good.

Not sure what the people below are going about. Just dined here and it was brilliant! Definitely not a place to come for the decor but the food is none pretentious and delicious. A hidden gem...

We just visited before Ramadan, and it was such a pleasent suprise.

Very family friendly restaurant, and really the fish is some of the best in town. The squid, hammour and shrimp dishes are on top of the list. However, forget ambience or decor. This is a good family restaurant to take your friends and family for a serious chow down on some seafood....

This rest has the worst value for money I have seen in Dubai for a long time. Food seems to be okay - the grilled hammour seemed mediocre.

The place is of Egyptian origin but cannot match the taste of the restaurants found on the coast of Alexandria.

Do not go here if u are looking for cost effective food of good taste.

We paid AED 500 for 3 people

worst restaurant in Dubai ever... not clean, bad Decor, very very bad service and lazy employees.
not because it serves Tabbouleh and Hommos is concidered as Lebanese restaurant..
they use one kind of spice for all their meals, red and kinda chilli and not tasty at all,, it killed the seafood taste
it is expensive for such service and meals, i wish we went to McDonalds instead.

Do NOT go to this restaurant. The prawns and the calamari were ok but the waiter made so many mistakes and then he added an extra 150 Dirhams on my bill. If I hadn't looked at it properly I would not have noticed!! And we paid 650 dirhams for three people, for just having ordered one kg of prawns (small not even the jumbo even though he tried to charge us for the jumbo...), one kg fish and one plate of calamari. There so many restaurants in Dubai that are way cleaner and better and cost much less than that. Any seafood all you can eat in any 5 star hotel will cost you less than that!
