Went to Dhow ka Aangan after almost 4 years. And has the same BAD experience that I had earlier with this restaurant.

To start off, the waiters didnt even offer us Cloth Napkins till we had to ask them mid-way during the dinner. The Musicians are cacophonic and ones wishes they didnt sing. The costing is EXORBITANT and the food is so so ordinary. The decor is good, but who cares when they dont even serve you with finger bowls towards the end of your meal. Simple things were missing - they offered Papads with starters, but the chutneys were missing (unless asked!)

Not recommended at all unless you want to burn your pocket. A better bet is Antique Bazaar by Four Points Sheraton in Bank Street.

Great place fantastic service,food and ambience. New management has worked wonders.

Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.V poor service,limited options to choose from,overrated as per food taste.

You cant blaim Hotel Management

I had heard a lot about this rest. I visited to celebrate my bday. I was surpirsed to see such a normal ambience. The singers were nothing great. To top, the waiters were in a hurry to take the main course order, while it was only 11:30.
Also the timeoutdubai card was not accepted by the hotel management, they just simply refused. The starters were good.

But overall, i would never visit this place again.

It was our anniversary and we trusted time out Dubai on selecting the restaurant! It was altogether a nice experience with peaceful ambiance, Indian live music, tasty food and friendly service. The tandoori jhinga is a must try here. The portion sizes are large that we had to take home some of the dishes ordered. So watch what you order! They also have an impressive wine list and the service is warm and friendly. Would definitely like to visit again.

Just having returned from a Dinner at Angan, I must say, the staff needs a hell of a lot of training in welcoming customers. We waited well over 10 minutes to get seated; hardly anyone noticed us from then onwards. Wine list was not presented. They had no knowledge of wines at all; had to hunt for a bottle that we really wanted. Funny enough, when we asked to see what the housewine was, they brought the party wine box to show us!!

Scant respect and attention to customers. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a good evening.

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN TOWN WITH GOOD FOOD AND SUPERB MUSIC

I had been at this restaurant on the 21st of January 2010 alongwith my family we had a pleasant evening good food and music.I would like to specially mention that the only lady who served us was quick and work concious. The only flaw is that the tables are very uneven with the table cloth on it and with the beer glasses having small bottoms the chances of the glasses getting toppled are very high.

Had a very unpleasant experience this thu(05/08/10). While trying to enjoy the food and live music we were totally disgusted by the sight of creepy crawlies (coakroaches) around us. Not worth the money, I usually entertain my overseas client at this place, and a friend of mine did mention of the same problem. Will not be visiting this restaurant again.

The best resaturant ever visited, will recommend to others, the decor is wow, the ambience is wow, the service is the best in town,
the food is great, will recommend others too...

I have been there once. wish to go there to celebrate my parents aniversary. Hope it does not disappoint as the previous time we loved it there. however its one of those 2-3 times in year go-able places as the food is way too rich and expensive.

We had dinner there last night - the restaurant was very quiet but it is Ramadan I suppose. However, the place had no atmosphere......the food was good but the service was poor. We were served by 4 different waiters and when we paid the bill one waiter circled the table like a shark waiting for my partner to leave a tip. He hadn't even served us but wanted the tip!

I woudl go back for the food only!

Been there just once, a year ago, and I don't think I will especially go out of my way to eat there again. I happen to agree with many of the reviewers. The food is not inspiring and even classic dishes somehow turned out different. The home-style chicken curry was a complete disaster - just the way an untrained or unenthusiastic spouse would make it at home. The service was slow dispite only 3 tables being occupied and the wait staff tended to dissappear for several minutes at a time. Certainly not value for my money. There are plenty of Indian restaurants worth the while in UAE and certainly in Dubai. Just move on.

Food is not tasty...the ambience and live music is the best thing this restaurant has...i eat at similiar expensive restaurant,but at least the other one offered more tasty food than Aangan....i will never go back to this restaurant.....

Ive been to this place 5-6 times with my family. And everytime, i am not satisfied with the food. because of regular family dinner parties being hosted there, im forced to eat there. i love the music and the ambience of the place, bt even simple dishes like Dal Makhani and Paneer taste bad and would taste better in Kamat.

Completely disagree with Timeout's review. Recently went there for my dad's birthday, and just did not like the food. the waiter was very rude. after cuttin the cake, my mom showed courtesy and decided to give half the cake to b distributed to the staff, and he said "no, we dnt want it" it was extremely rude of him. and it was a pathetic end to an already bad dinner (for me), my dad loves the food, bt i jst find it completely tasteless and a waste of money.

It is an average restaurant, with satisfactory food.no great guns, no value for money , Service totally absent.they just dont care about the customer, looks like have a lot of Ego .lack of waiterss, cold shoulder value for money on food is ???????

Totally absurd...value for money ...not in today ccompetitve restaurant in Duabi.SErvice totally absent..lack of waiterss, cold servings...no refillings..

TimeOutDubai disappoints me again - how in the world can this be rated the best Indian in Dubai??? I've been there 3 times in the past year since my family loves the live music - but the food is bland and uninspired. Even Gazebo down the street has much better fare (but unlicensed).

Zaika in the Murooj Rotana would have been a much better choice - its the closest Dubai has to the standard bearer of Bukhara in New Delhi.

I WILL SAY ONE OF THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT WITH A GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE. MANAGER MR SANTOSH WAS VERY HELPFULL

I will say best indian restaurant in burdubai with food music and a excellent service by the waiters, will definately go back.

You all are bonkers. The food is a dream every time. I have eaten at this restaurant ten times or so, and have never had a bad meal there. More than that, the food has always been amazing. I especially love the lamb chop appetiser, which is perfectly tender and juicy, and beautifully spiced. Service has always been top notch when I go there, with really polite waiters. The price is a bit more than what I'd like to pay, but the ingredeints are top notch, so it's worth it (and it's still cheap by Dubai restaurant standards). Not everyone may like the live music, but I think it's great.

service was disaster my bill got overcharged manager did not come to see us i will not go again again

well it was a nice however food was not up to the value for money and service was not up to satisfectory too much oily food very difficult to consume

Mix feeling.food and service are ok, but one would expect a bit more as far the vale for money is concerned

I would not go back to a restauarant of this type. Cant expecta quality meal and a service. I would rather prefer a street type food who would serve tasty food

Food and service does not go hand in hand, if food is there then waiters are absent.
