Run passionately by Italian dame Nonna Livia, the restaurant’s food never fails to impress. When ordering, we recommend you chat to Nonna herself, who’s usually in the restaurant, as she’s always happy to point you to dishes that are at their seasonal peak. The veal loin wrapped in prosciutto is a triumph in taste and appearance that comes with a reduction of veal stock and pan juices that complement the porcini ragout perfectly. The oven-cooked pizzas are also worth a mention. The only complaint we have is that the restaurant can be a little quiet from time-to-time (although blissfully so at dinner, as no kids aged under 12 are allowed). Why the restaurant is not busier is a mystery, as Medzo is the most consistent Italian in town.
