Mezza House, Souk al Bahar

From the Turkish Sujuk to the Palestinian Musakhan, this restaurant serves up an array of dishes from the Levant region, but it’s the mezze platters that shine (as you can probably guess from the name). The mains and grills, meanwhile, may prove a little disappointing. However, Mezza House’s attraction is not so much its food (don’t get us wrong, this is pretty good), but its vibrant and authentic atmosphere, and the ever-popular karaoke nights on Tuesdays. From the moment you walk in, you can’t help but feel like you stepped into a small joint on a Beirut street corner – the dimly lit interior is brings in crowds of various nationalities across the region.
