15 beachside restaurants
1 Comments 28 February 2012 Captain’s
Best for: Chilled-out sundowners and
a spot of live music.
The view: Even closer to Jebel Ali Resort
& Spa’s private beach than nearby The Anchor, Captain’s is well placed to offer
views of the sunset, and is a wonderful place to enjoy a unique ‘old-school’ expat feel that’s difficult to come by in Dubai these days.
The food: Tuck into grilled meats from
the barbecue, dishes such as fish and chips or Japanese prawn tempura, chicken satay with Malaysian peanut sauce or lamb chops.
Also look out for: The live band, shisha available in the beachside cabanas, and happy hour between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
Average price of a meal for two with soft drinks: Dhs200-299. Open daily noon-5pm. Jebel Ali Resort & Spa (04 804 8604).
