Spectrum on One
Nominated for Best Brunch 27 Comments
A good spot for group brunches sans carnage, Spectrum on One boasts a fun, lively atmosphere and a wide range of dishes from across the world. Pick up a plate and plot your way from Thailand to Japan, India to Arabia, Europe to Latin America, and you will be pleased to note that the standards don’t slip between cuisines. Though the food is consistently enjoyable, the dishes offered are a little obvious, and Spectrum fails to set itself apart from the majority of the city’s Friday buffets. It’s a sentiment that appears to go unrecognised by the outlet’s management, who have hiked up prices for brunch packages across the board by an extra Dhs60 since last year, and as a result it finds itself in the top tier price bracket for brunches across town. With evermore five-star hotels and restaurants now offering a Friday brunch, it’s a bold step – particularly when the brunch lasts a rather short and strict three hours.
