There are some interesting options on the principally carnivorous menu here. Try ruby-red ostrich steak, or the enormous mixed grill for the particularly famished, and the classic fillet steak is a winning fallback option if you’re uncertain, so tender you could slice straight through with a butter knife.
Open daily 7pm-midnight. The Palace Downtown Dubai, www.theaddress.com (04 888 3444).

Afraid I have to concur with some of the negative reviews here: this restaurant is way to overpriced for what it offers. My overall feeling after I dined at Asado's earlier this month is that staff tried to rush me and my partner by bringing the main course. Sure, they apologized but for a restaurant in this price category one's tolerance for a number of avoidable mistakes is obviously lower. Waiters were also too pushy -either by continously asking to refill my glassor by asking about a million times during my meal whether everything was ok. To be fair, my steak was very tender and tasty so perhaps there's hope if they can get their act together on all other fronts.

Didn't live up to the prices nor did it meet my expectation. I read the reviews and despite the negative comments I decided to go and try it out for myself. The king crab bisque soup was horrible, empanadas was ok but not the south American way as I wished it to be, steak was good, mixed grill big no no, I like a little fat on my meat but every bite felt like fat filled my mouth. Waiters were nice and friendly. Ambience was perfect but no way will I come back here.

I was excited about our visit to Asado as it is a TimeoutDubai award winner. In the end I was a little dissapointed. The place is nicely laid out and the ambience is warm and soft. We ordered the fish platter and lobster. I though the food was quite ordinary. Nothing to be excited about although it wasn't bad or in any way something to complain about.

I think the place is simply overated. Nice but not as nice as the hype suggests. Too expensive for a generally good restaurant masquerading as an excellent premium one.

Meat Parrilada a chewy, fattynans uneatable mixed of meat at 295aed. Worst place i have ever been in 5 years in Dubai. I had to trust most of the reviews that say the same thing. Any meat meal in a mall foodcourt is better. I suggest all readers to go to Rib Room if they want to taste the best meat ever.

Fantastic Argentinean meet, this place is a piece of Argentina,
I am felling at home in Asado, service is great and the food awesome,
dulce de leche ice cream was heaven!!!
Expensive but it worth it.

Even with the 30% discount on the total bill (visa infinite card promotion) this restaurant is completely overrated. The food is average at best (meat was almost impossible to chew and tasteless). Our guests kept mentioning that they recently had great meat at the butcher's shop and grill restaurant ! Was embarrassing for us, as we were the ones that selected the restaurant. NEVER again....

A bit too expensive but fantastic food, steaks are amazing!

Service is not consistent, sometimes good, sometimes slow but friendly staff.

Overall great experience

Having returned hungry the night before, as it had run out of goat meat, I returned last night having secured the dish with the assistance of the affable and able Asst. Manager Rodrigo Cabral. The roasted baby goat meat is a much sought after dish on the menu and one is advised to reach there by 9pm to hope to sink their teeth into it. Bread and other nibbles brought with goat stew. Tried 2 of their small sized empanadas- a king crab with mushroom and shallots and the other a ricotta cheese and spinach empanada. The latter appealed to me more. The roasted baby goat leg was enjoyed with Quilmes, an Argentinian beer.

The bill

2 Empanadas: Dhs 50
Baby goat(Main): Dhs. 210
Quilmes: Dhs 42

Total: Dhs 302

Wow! Very polite and well drilled professional staff. I had gone on Aug 18th without prior reservation. After taking down my name, I was escorted to my seat. Cavernous restaurant with soft leather chairs and wooden table. Burj Khalifa looming out the window. Some seats offer better view than others. Glass enclosure with baby goat being grilled bang in the middle of the restaurant with the waiter encouraging me to go in and take a look.
I ordered for baby goat starter which I had just viewed. Bread and other nibbles served along with goat stew and 2 types of butter- salted and truffle. The goat meat had good flavour which I thoroughly enjoyed. 200gm tenderloin served with 5 different types of sauces. Sides have to be ordered separately and here I went for the sautéed spinach which was a bowlful. It was nice but a tad too salty. The meat, which is flown in from Argentina, was done medium rare and was pink and soft on the inside and well presented. Juices didn’t just ooze but rather gushed out with each cut so much so that I had to use bread to mop it up. This was probably the best tenderloin I’ve ever had.
Great allround experience and would love to come visiting again. Paid Dhs 325 for the pleasure.

Though I didnt like the grilled platter that I had, meet was actually chewy !!!!! But, the steak my friend had was absolutely fantastic, crab soup was good and the salad was so fresh, though mojito's were a disaster!!! On the other hand, service is perfect, staff are so friendly and always around.

Sorry did not think it lived up to the prices - there are so many other good places to eat in Dubai so the prices are too high....

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Dubai, but unfortunately the hotel and management have let go. One of the worst dining experiences in a very long time, as a regular it is a shame to see such a great place spiral down. Was the best steaks in town bar none now cutting too many corners not worth the effort

I have absolutely no complaints about this restaurant.
Everything from the service, the food, the views and the music (i had to look round to realize it was live) was top draw.
The friendly staff even invited us inside the kitchen for a tour with the chef, who insisted we sample the goat....
This is my one of my favorite Dubai restaurants, I'm just disappointed it took me so long to discover it!

I would advise my friends to have their business meeting there ... be aware the outdoor table would distract your intentions ... or your clients ... good place in over all ... and nice food..

Had a fantastic meal! The waiter was great and friendly. My husband had a delicious tenderloin while I opted for the grilled lobster, which was to die for! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Worth every penny!

I took my wife there for our wedding anniversary. The lady on the door welcomed us warmly and seated us on our table right next to the dancefloor.(Each sunday they have Tango performing from the Dubai Tango Club which is very lovely to watch). The service is excellent and the ambience as well. The pumpkin soup was great so was their steak served with 5 sauces. I really recommend this restaurant for a romanctic dinner.

We dined at Asado in May for my dad's birthday and I must say we had a lovely time. We got a table on the terrace flanking the Burj Khalifa with spectacular views.
The food was delicious, we ordered a lot of finger foods - cheese, meats, bread etc and the mains were mainly grilled chicken, fish and the star dish - grilled baby goat was succulent! The meat was tender, cooked to perfection.
The service was very warm and the staff freindly and knew the what they were serving.
Delicious food, great wine and atmosphere - all in all a lovely dining experience

Restaurant has a great quality feel and and look about it and of course the location.... Such a shame that the same can't be said of the food. Starters of mixed seafood platter and crab soup were ok. For mains, all four of us ordered steaks, none of us enjoyed them at all. Fatty (half of the steak was fat!!) and chewy steaks are not what I would expect for a restaurant of this stature. Staff were inattentive and when I complained about the quality of the food, all the server could do was shrug her shoulders! There are many quality steak restaurants in Dubai....so stay clear of this one!

its would b more nice if the foods are priced equal to street restaurants...

One of the best restaurants in Dubai. The steaks are amazing. An autentic Argentinian restaurant.

Just a hint: Although not in the menu, after finishing your meal, ask for one "terere" and enjoy this typical drink ;)

Horrible experience! Coming from Buenos Aires I must say that you can eat a lot better in any street restaurant in that city that in this fancy one. This is not argentine food!!! Keep away! High prices for very low quality!

i had the best meal there with my husband and daughter of 20 months! i ordered the tenderloin which was amazing while my hubby ordered a grill platter which was waaaay to much for him to handle and it was definately worth the value! They even gave us a nice small tiramisu cake since it was my birthday and a card with writings from all the staff. truly amazing! ;-) the only thing i can say we didnt find so invigorating was when the "manager " am not so sure, came to introduce us and it was a lil bit suffocating and my husband showed frustration! hahahaha... but overall it wsa truly a lovely restaurant! expensive too!!! but def worth it! it was my birthday!!! hehe

If you are looking for a decent steak, this is definitely the place for you. With two choices of settings - outside (casual) and inside (romantic) - there is something for everyone. The live band created a very authentic ambiance and the staff were knowledgable and very attentive. Unfortunately, we were slow to get off the ground with a 20 minute wait to order our food and a 1 hour wait between starter and main. The prices were on the steep side so save this place for special occasions. A must for any meat lover!
