Authentic north Indian restaurant is a pleasant surprise

The restaurent looks sophisticated, a mere show to keep the price high in food. The three things ordered were vada pav, usal misal and pakodas. Regrertfully none tasted or were cooked upto the mark. Vada pav a large proportion of vada on a small pav, barely any flavor. Usal misal was average as compared to other restaurents in same league. The pakodas i would call it a cooking disaster on such a simple dish, draped in oil very poor cooking quality. The restaurent had good fame since opening, well i beleive has not lived upto the expectations.

Pathetic food. We were a people of six last night and all my guests were very dissapointed with feed. I would say its below average compared to dubai standard

One of the best vegetarian North Indian restaurants I have ever been to.
As a south Indian, I had always had the like for the panner and potato varieties in north Indian dishes. But in most restaurants big or small veggies will be floating with oil or butter with almost bland taste (we south Indians like spicy food). But Aamchi Mumbai was totally different, with the right amount of spices delicately balancing the flavor and with lesser grease, the dishes were Excellent and not heavy on the digestive system.
The atmosphere is family friendly and one of the best services we have ever got. The waiters helped with choosing the dishes and their choices for the kind of palate we want is excellent.
Would love to go back again to relish the garlic naan and vegetable paneer curry.
A must try for all vegetarian lovers.
