Indian & Pakistani

This hotel is not known for its outstanding food and beverage outlets, but this delicious Indian option is an exception. The dining room features a stage for entertainment, though there isn’t something on every night. The atmosphere could do with a little improvement, but the food is elegant, refined and tasty. Popadoms are served with delicious papaya chutney and the vegetarian okra dish is tangy and gingery. The juicy lamb chops are sent through the tandoor oven on massive skewers and served to the table piping hot with plenty of lovely aromas. There’s also a selection of seafood dishes, including jumbo prawns marinated in cheese and yoghurt and fish tikka. For something a little lighter try the aloo gobi potatoes dish with cauliflower or the creamy yellow dahl with cumin and garlic and soak it all up with a variety of naan bread and fried paratha.
