Miyabi Sushi & Bento

Miyabi Sushi & Bento
The Media City branch, located at the foot of the Chrysler Building-esque Business Central Towers, is more of a lunchtime spot than somewhere you’d go for dinner. With no windows to the outside, it’s a fairly dark space, not helped by the black exposed ceiling, yet for a casual eatery it’s a comfortable enough space. Miyabi’s menu is large, covering everything from salads and light bites such as yakitori skewers and tempura, to simple one- or two-ingredient makis, temaki cones, sashimi and ‘special’ rolls, plus a selection of ramen, fried noodles, donburi rice bowls, shabu shabu hotpots and even a modest Korean offering. Is there a sense that they’ve spread themselves too thin? Most definitely, because there’s nothing here that rises above adequacy – even at these relatively affordable prices you’d expect better. And while staff are friendly and well-meaning, service, too, could do with being tightened up a bit. Miyabi Sushi & Bento

One of the best Japanese Restaurants, their sushi is yummy and tasty + the yummiest crab salad + the Gyoza (the best Gyoza). Their service is excellent and they are friendly, but the place is bit small. I really advice you to go and try their Double crunch roll & Muni roll.

I went today with my partner which is japanese, and we got served the most plain and untasteful lunch ever.
First of all, the Yakisoba, was more tasting like a ketchup spageti you would get in the supermarket,
Second, the chicken teriaki was very dry which make me suppose that it is pre-cooked, with my experience of food, at least 2 days ago.
Then, the gyoza has also an oldish taste.
Even with the city card discount we paid as much as we would pay in a decent 5 star hotel japanese restaurant.

To summarize, it is surely japanese, but it is obvious that no japanese taste is employed, and it is adapted to the pallet of the servers which gives the food a deep fillipino and indian influence

I love the food at miyabi.
Miyabi, I think, has a variety of food that can satisfy people with different tastes.
From it's fresh food to the atmosphere that makes you feel at home-
My personal favourites are the Kani Salad, the Volcano Shrimps, the Cali Flowe roll, the Wakame Salad, the Mochi Ice-cream, and the Miyabi Carrot cake.
I've been to miyabi numerous times and I've ordered it at home quite often.
I just wish it had more branches around Dubai.
