After all the good comments on the Restaurant i decided to go today with a friend and taste their food. The food is good - Mango Fish Curry. Nothing special about the interiors. I wasn't satisfied with the time they took after we ordering & even though the selection was limited we had to spend an hour there. Good value for money after i checked out the Menu. U gotta give it a try...

Worth a try!

The appams are delicious. We had some variety of egg appams and chicken and fish dishes...need to admit that they were really tasty. The vegetarian choice in the menu also looks good.

The service is average but passable. Overall its worth the money you pay. I would definitely love to go there again.

Generally tasty fare and reasonable to boot. Padded seating and general ambience is an added advantage over the other great neighbourhood eatery "Calicut Paragon".
Service is touch and go. You have to get their attention as they are busy serving multiple guests.
Set dish of appam with chicken stew was nice as also the hyderabadi biryani. Keema appam looked and tasted like egg appam.

I have had fantastic experience with my family especially hosting few other families to celebrate my wifes Birthday. I am personally pleased because my wife & her friends liked the place. Try Chattinad Garlic curry with Malabar Parota.

I was really disappointed by the staff of Discovery Gardens Branch.
We are a regular visitor there and really liked the food but I think will never go again because of the behaviour of the person who took our order. We ordered Appams and curries and asked one Appam in advance as my daughter was reallu hungry and was about to sleep.

That guy just ignored the request and keep on serving other people even though the restaurant was nt buzzing only few tables were occupied and that appam was for a child. After that , we ordered 1 by 2 soup he came with one bowl of soup and asked us to share it. When we enquired he said we dont serve one by two now , we said you should have told us before in a polite manner, when we were telling this only he left . We felt this humiliating and asked him to deduct money for one appam he wishfully with smiling face deducted the money and gave us the money back.

It as a really bad experience , will never visit Appa kadai for sure.

Good value for money - the Appams are superb. Could do with a more varied Chettinad menu for vegetarians. All in all, a once a month destination for us.

AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY

Chicken sukka, hyderabadi biryani, chicken lollipops, most of the items are worth trying

Having been more than 20times, its safe to say this is WORTH IT!!

This is my very favourite indian restaurant in Dubai. Cauliflower 65, fish curry with mango or neemen fish curry and the buttermilk are so incredible delicious. Many of the dishes that I have tried in Appa Kaddai are just... perfect. And their prices give you Value for Money

We have been to this restaraunt about twice or thrice...

I would say the best combination would be a plain appam paired with any of the non veg curries....

Very tasty, light and filling meal...

I would definetly recommend the fried side dishes such as prawns and chicken...

Though the interiors are not so great and the seating is very congested...once you start eating all other things become immaterial...

Definetly worth a try...

This is the best Indian restaurant that I have ever been in Dubai!

Chicken and mutton bryani were cooked to perfection, with the right moist level.

Chicken 65 is a MUST!!!

Kish fish curry...great flavour and goes well with rice.
