From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011Ironic that it has Bhog in its title as this little southern Indian eatery and sweet shop, unfortunately will make you feel bogged down with the unsatisfying, flavourless food and appalling service. Facing a dusty highway overlooking an elevated road there is not much of a setting to speak of, inside the restaurant the sweets draw you in. Set in a permanent cabinet they are beautifully decorated and colourful but not at all cheap. Chhappan Bhog tries to be the Indian version of a Parisian delicatessen, the adjacent coffee shop style seating area with modern Indian art supposedly offers meals and the menu is vast, with Chinese food, Indian food and snacks. However the dinner menu only kicks off after 7pm before that it's just snacks such as samosas, naan and paratha and a strange masala double decker sandwich, but they do tend to run out of them all. We would recommend going later and experiencing their proper dinner menu. Chhappan Bhog

Horrible attitude from waiters and instead of 229 dhs they charged 299 from my credit card when asked they denied to refund and said we have to buy something for balance 70 Dhs.
We would never recommend anyone to go there.

excellent service of thali we were in group around 50 people but we got personalized service food was good and well served &well managed ,I could not asked the name of the person in black jacket he is the perfect hotelier, management should upgrade him ,I think he is the future asset for the company.

Oh God, horrible waiters, if the management is reading all these comments, then think twice and go for a change, revise the servicing staff and come up with ladies staff, try to build up the image.

Food is nice but the service is lacking and our last experience was shocking.
We went to have rasmalai on the spot and the person behind the counter asked us to be seated to be served.
After we had finished and went to the cashier for payment, he hands us a bill of Dh.12 when I remember seeing 4.5 per piece. On asking, another mentions it is the restaurant rate. When we contested that we were forced to be seated and no such prior information was provided, reluctantly the cashier asks to pay only Dh.9
If you are going for sweets, try Puranmal just a few shops away and if you wish to have food try Bombay King down the road.
Would never go back to this branch at least.
