ET Sushi
Like many of Emirates Towers Boulevard’s eateries, ET Sushi is a handy and enjoyable spot for a mid-week bite to eat or business lunch, but not the sort of place you’d make a trip to for on any other occasion. Located on the mall’s ground floor, this licensed Japanese is both swish and relaxed, combining a menu featuring a few high-end luxuries with the more casual dining-style conveyor belt parading an array of sushi and sashimi dishes. Back to that menu, which features not only the usual sushi, sashimi, tempura and the like, but also teppanyaki dishes from sister restaurant Tokyo@The Towers. For a quick and not unimpressive bite, try the crisp and light soft shell crab tempura, gloriously soft yellowtail sashimi and a refreshing fruit mochi to round off. A not-too-shabby-at-all Thursday lunchtime treat for anyone who finds themselves in the area. ET Sushi

I was there a couple of years ago and it was pretty good.
But when I went back last week it was very different than what I remembered. The sushi was just average, or even worse than average.
Even the simple things were not good. The quality of the salmon was not better than what you would get in a bento box at the supermarket, and even worse the tuna was not fresh at all, it was simply old and tasteless.
Also the service was totally disorganized.
And the wasabi ? It was just like in the time out review, dry and powdery. So we asked the waitress if she could bring us freshly made wasabi paste and she said "oh, you wanted the good wasabi? ok I'll bring you some", and she then brought us wasabi that was fine, not dry like what she served us at the beginning. What did she think ? That we would not want the good wasabi but the old and bad wasabi ?
The only good thing about the place is the modern decor.

the best restaurant i have ever been to, the service feels astonishing with everything going just the way how the guests like it to be, the chefs at the sushi bar are fabulous preparing sushi before our eyes chef saurabh there is to be seen working, giving no change to complain and leaves us with a memorable time and delightful service

I just looooove their sushi, but their kitchen food is hit and miss. I was shocked when my friend and I ordered teriyaki chicken and the chicken was deep fried. I have never had it like this before. The teriyaki sauce they slathered the greesy chicken pieces with tasted too strong as well. There tempura, however is yummy, though more expensive for what you get then at other restaurants.

But their sushi is top notch and I will go there any day if a friend who loves sushi will go with me. Unfortunately, I won't go with my husband and he always orders from the kitchen menu and he would be disappointed.
