Ambot Tik on Map

I agree with many of the points raised, this outlet does not have an authentic Goan vibe nor an authentic Indian restaurant experience but thats not what you go for....
The prices in Ambot Tik are way lower than many of the indian restaurants in the city and many of the dishes really are excellent. The Chicken Masala is superb and the beef cutlets as a starter are fantastic. The standard of Naan bread is excellent, light, crispy and chewy and they will also flavour it to your specifications.
In a city that is overwhelmed with high end indian restaurants (with main curry dishes beginning at 180 dhs and can easily double), its is refreshing to be able to find a licenced curryhouse that is so reasonably priced. On top of this they also have a pork licence for those so inclined.......the pork vindaloo is a rare treat in the city and Ambot Tik is the only place I have found it in the Middle East.
Ambot Tik ought not to win in the style stakes but if you want 2 or 3 pints of hops, a curry, rice and naan for less than 100 dhs you won't go wrong.
