This casual dining Turkish concept in Al Wasl Square is a small but cosy café, with a large open kitchen counter where you can see kebabs and more fired up and smoking away at the grills. Above this, blackboards offer suggestions for the day’s special including items such as soup, salad, and Turkish-stuffed pastry borek. There is also, uniquely, a central buffet table of Turkish cold mezze. The rest of the menu offers salads, Turkish-style flatbreads, pide and lahmacun, as well as an extensive variety of different kebab and doner-style meat plates.
Staff are welcoming and once nudged a little in the right direction, are able to give guidance on what the menu has to offer. Due to the generous portion sizes, you may struggle to finish what’s on the table. As such, the menu at Zurna represents good value for Turkish food.
