The colourful line of vintage wheels and quirky interiors will lure you into this French bistro, but it’s the menu that will make you stay. This café isn’t your average stop-for-a-salad kind of place – you come to Le Tresor for a full-on meal. There’s a complimentary bread basket, served with French butter, brought to the table before you even begin to order. Winning from the start. The coupe de crudites is a mountain of vibrant garden vegetables served with beetroot hummus, mint yoghurt and a blue cheese dip. The marinated shrimps served with a spicy sauce is another hit. The poaching of eggs leaves a lot to be desired if you like your yolk runny, but the presentation is super. Le Tresor’s food is alluring, as are the garage-like interiors.
