This London import has been hitting the right notes since it arrived in Barsha Heights as the all singing, all dancing neighbour of Lock, Stock & Barrel.
A pretty unique concept for Dubai, most people are drawn here for the chance to belt out some karaoke classics in one of the super-stylish pods. But if you fancy yourself something of a diva or crooner, you really need a rider filled with the variety of bar food on offer here.
Along with some small plates, which include the rather tasty beef empanadas and chicken satay, Lucky Voice serves up a variety of salads, ceviches, tacos and pizzas. However, the headline act is undoubtedly the Lucky Claw Daddy, a flavour-packed roll filled to the brim with Atlantic lobster, caramelised onions and poached egg, topped off with some creamy hollandaise sauce. Each bite tastes even better than the last – as finger food goes, it’s a pretty top-drawer claw.
If you’ve worked up a hunger on the mic, though, you might want to grab some of the soft-yet-crunchy sweet potato fries to go with your lobster. Alternatively, you could help yourself to a portion of the boneless ribs – tender, braised beef in a moreish barbecue glaze. What an encore…
The bottom line Honest grub without a song and dance.
