Here at Time Out Dubai we’re big fans of More Café and the latest opening of the UAE favourite in Al Murooj does not disappoint. The café itself is sprawling and airy, and the backyard has plenty of room for a pre-pad Thai stretch of the legs.
The menu is as varied and extensive as we’ve come to expect from More, with dishes spanning from the Far East to the Med, with a chicken pie thrown in for good measure.
We particularly like the Thai fishcakes, which are served on a bed of sliced cucumber with a sweet dipping sauce. The flavours and textures work very well.
We’re also fans of the goat’s cheese salad, which is light, fresh and looks like it was put together by Michelangelo, with statuesque crispbreads balanced delicately atop soft mounds of herbaceous curd.
The Thai red curry is also delicious and arrives packed full of veggies in a fragrant sauce, while a massive serving of nasi goreng could likely feed a family of four.
Saying that, all of the portion sizes are substantial, and the menu also consists of pastas, sandwiches and burgers, as well as an extensive range of crumbles, cakes, ice creams and milkshakes.
Family-friendly, casual and fun, this café also serves up some top grub, so is worth a visit.
The bottom line A varied menu with good, fresh food in laid back settings.
