With pool access throughout the day, a wealth of tapas dishes served at any time, along with atmospheric blue lighting to immerse you into an Ibiza-type setting, L!QD seems to have all the elements to make for a stunning party venue.
As soon as we arrive, we’re greeted with cool and vibrant deep house tunes with and plenty of cushiony seats. To the left is a walkway up to the pool area, along with a selection of dining tables backed by a plethora of couches.
Not only is the service polite, it’s also efficient. We place our orders and only wait a couple of minutes before our fruity beverages are set before us.
One by one our dishes arrive, starting with a blue cheese bruschetta drizzled in honey thyme dressing, making each bite nicely sweet yet mature.
As for the mini mixed grill, we expected to have a little more on our plates, especially as it is meant for sharing. Nevertheless, the spicy beef sausage (which is a little lacking in spice), chicken souvlaki and chimchurri lamb kebabs are tasty and we dig into them with gusto.
With its focus on sun-soaked lounging by its pool, L!QD cleans up quite nicely with its range of Spanish flavours. Worthy of a visit before it gets too hot.
The bottom line A chilled vibe with nice small bites.
