I've only been to the one across the street from Zabeel Park, but I can't say enough good things about it. As others have said, piles of tasty food for cheap, the service is swift and the place is clean. I eat like a champion and I've yet to get the bill over AED 40.

wonderful dinner we had with delicious kababs, curries, chicken tikkas,no doubt no one can beat KD in price comparing with their neatness hygiynic food and a friendly enviroment, i love their fresh roti, this tandoori roti you can et without any side dish, you can really take it as dry pizza.....it seems a celebration always at KD.

Lovely food, absolutely stuffed our faces for 70 AED including drinks. The map is wrong here however, it's actually on the service road off Sheikh Rashid Road before you get to Sana Fashion.

Probably the most consistent Chicken Tikka in Dubai. Been eating at Karachi Darbar for more than 15 years now and it still tastes the same! At no other place in Dubai will you find great, fresh Pakistani BBQ starting at under AED10.

Their curries might sometimes go wrong during busy lunch times but the most reliable 'curries' you can ahve here: Nihari and Haleem. Cheap and delicious at any time of the day, seriously. I'm not a rice person so won't talk about their Biryani (which I've heard is pretty decent though).

For the price of per-person-dining, Karachi Darbar is my first choice during the day. I love alone and have to eat out a lot. KD is cheap, has a no-nonsense service attitude and their Pakistani BBQ is pretty freakin' amazing.

This place is clean, cheap and the food really quite good. If ever there was an instance where you didn't get what you pay for than this is it. For the euivalent of about £7 my dad and I ate until we could barely move. Ok you wouldn't want to eat here everyday, or you might end up looking like the Mitchelin man, but for a good meal and great reliable service then this is the place to eat.

This is a place where you can stuff yourself to a standstill for what is, to western eyes, a ridiculously low price. In October 2010, a blowout sharing lunch for two hungry blokes: Bhindi Masala, Alu Palak, Dall, Chicken Byrinani, Salad, and Tandori Roti; plus two bottles of water and two soft drinks came in at 33 Dirhams. That's under £4. The quality is basic but tasty, though it’s likely the salt and fat content would shock a western dietician. Food hygiene appears good (though I would always avoid 'wet' curry dishes -- in which pre-cooked meat is reheated in a sauce -- as a routine precaution in any cheap eaterie), and service is businesslike. How you rate the ambience depends what you're looking for. If it's workaday authentic then here you'll get it by the bucket load. Would I go again? Definitely yes -- if I can find the place in the labyrinth of poorly-labelled streets. If the advice, “When in doubt eat where the locals do”, is anything to go by this place is OK. One hundred underpaid taxi drivers can't be wrong!

Great food at a very good price. Can't beat it really, even if the decor and service are pretty poor!
