Shakespeare and Co.

Dine here for a trip back in time to the golden age of English history

  • Shakespeare and Co.
The decor at Shakespeare & Co. aims to transport you to 16th century England. The restaurant goes to great lengths to create an elaborate Elizabethan theme and displays some impressive vintage pieces of furniture. At the Jumeirah outpost, in the evening, weather permitting, sit on the terrace overlooking the bustling Jumeirah Beach Road. The menu includes a giant selection of everything, from flowering teas and smoothies to grilled fish and beef tenderloin. The list of breakfasts, sandwiches and salads are equally as extensive. Desserts aren’t as plentiful, but the restaurant also offers a selection of luxury artisan French pastries, chocolates and ice creams made specifically to order. The quality of the food could be a little better and although service is swift, staff aren't so knowledgeable about what’s best or particularly confident to recommend a standout dish – maybe because there’s just so much on offer. But the overall experience is a pleasant one and a three course meal won’t break the bank. Shakespeare and Co.

I really do love this place. The decor is very pink and feminine and the furniture makes me think of old France or something. The menu is great, to be fair I've only ever gone for breakfast each time I went and I've never been disappointed. I really do love their Eggs Benedict (since moving to Dubai I've only had them at the Hilton Dubai Creek and they are not as good as here).

Next time I go, I will try their cakes since a lot of people tell me that they are very good.

I love this place! It is like my home away from home-breakfast, lunch, or dinner and especially dessert.

This place is lovely, and has the best cakes in Dubai. The flowershop is fantastic.
