    Is a must try brunch in Dubai. Of course you will enjoy the brunch only if you are a champagne and seafood lover. Is a French cuisine where they serve the lovely Foie Gras and Escargot too.

    Not many choices but the food is really quality and tasty!! This brunch is different to many other brunches as you cannot find any heated container, even for the soup! All food are live cooking as the Chefs are care about the freshness, taste, quality, and to serve the food at the right time.

    This restaurant is purely seafood and French Cuisine, you will not find any fried rice or Briyani here!!

    This must be some kind of joke - we definitely felt scammed when we went to this restaurant. How does it get such rave reviews when we had probably the worst meal of our lives? What happened? Did they fire all their staff?

    So we were already worried about the service when they sat us out for drinks on the terrace and ordered martinis where the waitress asked if we wanted it "double". But we figured it was a separate bar, so we went into the restaurant.

    The restaurant was mostly empty but we figured that might be because it was the Thursday night after New Years. The waiter was extremely nervous and hovered near the table or paced around nearby, not knowing when to approach and start speaking. When we indicated several times we would like help with a wine selection, the serving staff laughed nervously at us and walked away. Then when we finally got someone to come over, the woman was the same one who laughed at us and didn't understand we wanted to speak to the sommelier and suggested the first wine she saw on the menu.

    Bad service aside - the food was horrific. It was lower quality than Chilis or any number of low end restaurants. The oysters weren't shucked properly and the main course which was a seafood platter was just a bunch of very very over-cooked dried pieces of fish on a plate. It was like some kind of practical joke. It was as if they had just rounded up all the old bits they had in the back and threw them on a plate. There was one scallop and a tough little prawn and a couple of of very over cooked mussels. We couldn't even eat the fish it was so unappetizing.

    This was really the worst food and service we had ever experienced.

    I don't know what happened between this being rated the best restaurant in Dubai and now - but it was truly tragically bad.

    "My girlfriend and I will be enjoying our 2 anniversary here. Please help however you can to make this a memorable and special occasion."

    This was the comment I left on my reservation with Traiteur. I wondered how much thought would be go into my booking. I had almost resigned myself to the idea that my request would go unnoticed or just casually addressed. I was more than pleasantly surprised with what awaited my partner and I.

    Upon arrival we were greeted by a cheerful and interested Maître D who made us feel instantly welcomed. "Is your anniversary today?" she asked as we were led to our table - with rose petals strewn on upon the candlelit setting at our own private space with a beautiful view of the waterfront.

    Service impeccable, courses delicious and ambiance ultra-romantic, Traiteur has definitely exceeded my expectations. Their attentiveness and attention to details was truly commendable, it was incredibly hard to fault. I'm almost tempted to celebrate my anniversary on a monthly basis here.

    The atmosphere is very chic with high ceilings, huge open kitchen where cooks and the many related clerks, and a bar at the entrance. Ideal place for business dinners and other meetings.

    Tonight we were twenty to celebrate the company dinner. Therefore, a menu was selected which reads as follows:

    Foie gras creme brulee, smelling of smoked duck breast, celery & William pear

    Squash risotto, shaved truffles and cheese
    ************************************************** ****************************
    Beef fillet with apple & sarawak pepper Macaire
    ************************************************** ******
    Plate of cheeses by Mons

    Mille Feuille White Chocolate, Coconut & strawberry ice Bounty

    Coffee, tea, herbal teas and sweets house

    As a preamble, baskets of hot loaves are proposed to us, together with either butter or olive tapenade. Excellent baskets of bread that will be filled throughout the meal. Menu in detail, above, the whole was excellent, taste, cooking, presentation, feast for the eyes and palate. Specifically, the creme brulee of foie gras was a little bit sickening to my taste. The risotto was divine by cons with real truffle pieces scattered. Cooking the perfect beef tenderloin, meat tender. A must to finish, was the white chocolate mille feuille, bluffing.

    Regarding staff, he was very outgoing, information on courses, continuing demands to know if we were satisfied, etc. ...

    my wife and i went there for friday brunch last week. had amazing food. loved the grilled lobsters and other fresh seafood. huge selection of food to choose from and they had a separate room for desserts which was really good as well. it was one of our best experience in a restaurant and would surely go back one day. highly recommended for friday brunch.
