On a Friday and Saterday they have an afternoon tea buffet for 85aed which combined with an Entertainer voucher is a complete bargain!
To begin with we were shown to our table which was away from the throughfare to the hotel's reception and has a veiw of the Ski slope.
The waiting staff then presented us with a tea menu and made some recommendations that we decided to go with, i had the strawberry's and cream tea and my better half had the jasmine gold tea both of which were light and refreshing.
The buffet offered a wide selection of fresh fruit, a selection of 6 types of sandwiches all served on the resteraunts own made bread, the tuna and rocket on a wholegrain being the winner for me and the chicken mayo on croissant for the other half.
There was also a choice of 2 cold soups and crudities.
Next we changed teas and indulged in the best part, the scones, standard choice of plain and fruit but what i was really impressed about was the fact that they were kept warm unlike so many other Dubai establishments. Choice of accompniments from cream and jam to honey.
We still had space so ventured over to the cake part where there was a large selection from tirimasu to chocolate mouse and coffee eclairs, all of which were light and fresh tasting.
Our waiter was knowledgeable about the tea selection and even offered to collect items from the buffet on our behalf if we didn't want to go ourselves.
I would highly recommend this afternoon tea experience to anyone as its one of the better ones on offer in the city and they even had a live pianist who is happy to take requests.
