British curry spot at International City

Having used Brit Balti (International City) for many years I decided to try their Al Barsha branch as it is now nearer for me. The restaurant was easy to find, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The waiter was friendly, the service faultless and the food simply delicious. In particular I liked the fact that the plates were warmed, the peshwari naan had plenty of coconut and the ladies toilet was clean and with soap! If it is a truly British curry you are looking for this is definitely the place to go, it has never disappointed me and therefore I never try anywhere else. Out of the 2 branches I prefer to dine in at the Al Barsha branch, it is slightly larger and just has a nicer feel. Well done Brit Balti and thank you for bringing a Great British curry house to Dubai

Had a takeaway which was very disappointing. Tasteless, bland, watery curry. I won't be ordering again.

Being a Punjabi didnt like the food at all. Its too sweet, the qty is too less and its priced reasonably high. We ordered a prawn started and got 2 pcs of Prawns!!! Butter chicken was sweet like a sweet dish!!

Tried takeaway for first time tonight. King prawn puri was nicely spiced but strangely sweet, with an underlying almost sweet chili flavour. Main dishes seemed reasonably authentically UK curry style and a good selection, if the Chicken Tikka Masala was a little sweet, it comes like that in UK in some joints so not really a black mark. Three sides were good, but the small pot of complimentary raita was horribly sweetened and ruined my rice, as I had expected a normal plain yoghurt and just poured some on. Nice naan and tandoori roti. Portions not as large as India Palace, for example, and prices not cheaper. Will definitely try once more and will ask when ordering if possible to avoid oversweetened items. Been eating authentic Indian style curries here for 6 years, but prior experience of around 35 years eating Indian food around UK gves me licence to be a critic!
