After booking brunch at Mazina I was reading the reviews in horror, however, decided to go ahead on the basis that most of the reviews were more than 2 years old. In the end I was overjoyed that we decided to give it a go. The food was superb, an enormous variety of international, well-presented and tasty dishes and the service was nothing short of outstanding - a continual stream of waiters & waitresses attending to our every need. I would rate this brunch very highly and will likely be going back next week!

I feel like I am to write this review purely on the decision of just receiving a follow up text from the mazina saying,"thank you for patronising (spelt wrong) Mazina,we look forward to have you dine with us again!"
Now if it's not bad enough that I made a formal complaint to the man who appeared to be in charge, they have the arrogance to try and wind me up further, leading me to now publicly slate their unprofessionalism!!!!
In brief we were greeted politely but by no means friendly! Every request we had seemed to come with a lot of persuasion from us and not followed up efficiently. Our main came before our starter, which we had waited for 30 mins for! It was cucumber sushi !!!!(must have been waiting for the cucumbers to grow!)
After paying a ridiculous price for an average wine (that no body came to pour all the way through the bottle)I decided to complain. The waiter apologised and offered us free desserts(which we wouldn't have ordered anyway) so we told them that we would prefer the price of the desserts deducted from the bill as we had waited 20 mins for our empty main plates to be removed (they were still there when we left the table to ask for the bill)at which point we were told they can't do that they can only compensate in food value!!!!
After some unpleasant exchange between us we walked out feeling like we had paid massively over what our night deserved and angry at the rudeness of the manager. I wouldn't have made this complaint had the text not been sent to my phone not 24 hrs later telling me I was "patronizing"(well educated manager I see!!!!)

Not a very positive experience. The atmosphere gives a feeling of a typical hotel-style buffet-restaurant designed for quantity not quality. The drinks were about AED120 for a double, and while the service was very good, it didn't quite make up for their prices.

We booked a table at Mazina, but when we arrived we felt the atmosphere lacking. We decided to have a drink at the bar, seeing that we are there. What a shock we had when we received the bill for our drinks! AED60 for a single Bacardi Black and Pepsi and AED50 for single Whisky & Soda.
This is more expensive than Buddha Bar!! What are they thinking?!?!
