While not entirely a MENA restaurant (Ewaan actually serves up a wide selection of international dishes), this place does have a decent Arabic station boasting all the usual hummus, tabouleh and fattoush as well as a fair selection of hot grills and kofta. What is definitely more regional, however, are the opulent surroundings, complete with private dining rooms, luxurious drapes, gold-adorned finishings and ornate panelling that wouldn’t look out of place in the movie Aladdin. If the weather is nice, you can lounge outdoors on the terrace and take in the decent views of the swimming pool and the sparkling Burj Khalifa. The remainder of the buffet is made up of salads, seafood, antipasti, breads and cheeses, plus a decent dessert selection, making it ideal for bigger groups with various palates looking to be pleased. As you drive along the view is quite promising. But as you get to the valet area, the poor service starts. No attendance to assist and as you walk in through the doors, no one to guide you around. Finally when you do manage to reach the restaurant the staff force a smile and assist you. For a hotel which has a good interior and Is well located the service is extremely disappointing. Even worse, I found hair in my soup. When I placed it aside to show it to the waiter, somehow my plate was cleared uninformed.
Honestly would not recommend this place.
Though the grilled prawns from the buffet is the only thing I would want to remember from my visit to this restaurant!

Terrible Iftar! Seriously avoid it and choose others!!!!
    Not much variety
Poor service as they just wanted to get us out the door. They tried to clear plates whilst we were still eating!
    Huge line for food
    Expensive with no drinks included.

Go to Ewaan any other time but stay away from them in Ramadan! Firstly, their buffet price does not include soft drinks and Ewaan does factory service for Iftar - they pack as many tables as they can into their normally ample space so comfort levels disappear. You also get rushed to compelte so the staff can prepare for Suhour. Chefs cut back with servings so you have to beg for more yet they charge a premium rate. Normally Ewaan is great but there are plenty of better 5 star Iftar buffet choices over Ramadan.
