You go to such a high-end restaurant to get 2 things : One is good tasty food and second is an amazing ambience. Chor Bazaar scores well on the 2nd objective, but does very poorly on the food taste aspect. The food is unimaginative and lacks the "spice" element. It is made more keeping the Western taste in mind. We found the veggies to be a bit more salty than our taste.
The ambience is good and staff was friendly.
The price is very hefty when compared with other similar 5-star restaurants (like the IZ in Grand Hyatt, or Options, or Asha's) and as time-out rightly says, I am not sure if I will drive all the while to Ibn Batuta to get such a pricey unimaginative food.
PS: We are veggies.

This was the worst experience of our eating out ever in dubai.
The portions per serving is very small for the price charged.
The nans were all burnt and had to be changed.
The chicken tikka was half cooked with a foul smell.
The dal tadka was without any tadka and salt.
They talk about the spices of india to advertise this place where no use of spices is there at all.
This place desperately needs a change in its cooking style else reputation of indian food will go down because it is visited by multinationalities.

Short staffed....food quantity is too small for the value charged. Food quality is OK nothing to talk about.

I have recently been to this new restaurant by a friends recommendation. It was a nice dinning experience for me and my friends. The food is different than other indian restaurants, the currys were amazing and the best biryani i ever had. Good hospitality..
