Curry Toast

Weird and wonderful eats at ordinary looking Karama fast food outlet

  • Curry Toast
The intrigue of its name is matched only by that of its menu; this visually unremarkable fast food outlet of course sells curry-style dishes with toasted bread, but this twisted take on Indian eats doesn’t stop at its eponymous odd food combo. Rice Boxes serve the white stuff with curry in as convenient a fashion as we have seen, and chilli cheese on toast is just as you might expect. Fans of stodgy food might enjoy the curry wraps, but most will find them too heavy, while the mango yogi yoghurt drink is a refreshing surprise. But the pièce de résistance is the marvellous Round Up – a kind of curried mince patty served between two thick wedges of toast, with cheese on top; we challenge fast food fans to stop at just one. Would you go back to this restaurant?
    Best for:
I had been to their Bangalore branch and that too when it had just opened. It was very appealing from outside, a curry and a toast ..haha... The ambiance was perfect to escape the hulla bulla outside. The rates as it was a start-up were friendly. The curry serving was too little even for a kids meal. Cheese Toast is a definite YES YES.
