The Friday brunch is something of a Dubai institution.

Price: Dhs85 with five house beverages.

Time: Day brunch noon-4pm; night brunch 6pm-10pm.

Food: A self-service buffet featuring various components of a full English breakfast. This is followed by a roast beef carvery, complete with apple sauce. The food is the same at both the day and evening brunch.

The set up: This no-frills joint is a good place to head if you’re looking for somewhere to fill up with the lads while watching the match, finished off with a game of pool and table football. If you want more of a party atmosphere, head to the night brunch where there’s a live DJ and many more merry men (and women).

Post-brunch plan: If you’ve tried out the day-time one, head home for a snooze, come back and do it all over again! If you’re there for the evening one you may as well enjoy the party mood, and if the fairer sex need an extra incentive to hang around, they get plied with a free select mixed drink between 11pm-1am.
