Food: There’s an a la carte menu offering South-East Asian treats, including spring rolls, wontons and bento dessert boxes, and the shaken drinks are a speciality in themselves, with flavours including chocolate, ginger, cucumber and more, served up in test tubes.
The set up: The indoors has a cool set up, with sushi station booths an ideal home for small groups and there is a pleasant outdoor area for the cooler months. A DJ spins cheesy ’80s tunes in the next room, with the music pumped through the restaurant speakers to give the place a party atmosphere.
Post-brunch plan: You needn’t go far to continue the fun: next door there’s a dancefloor and DJ. It’s a slightly surreal experience, but the 20 per cent off drinks between 4pm-7.30pm takes care of your inhibitions about cutting shapes when it’s still light outside.
