10 to try : Thai food
Time Out was very impressed by the wonderful Thiptara restaurant. We select ten more restaurants to sample great Thai food 1 Comments
Dubai’s newest Thai restaurant, Thiptara, was described by Time Out as stunning, breathtaking and jaw-dropping.
The combination of great views and good food make it a great addition to Thai-food lovers must visit list.
We select ten more Thai to try.
Bai Tong: A good option for budget Thai food. Don’t expect the royal Thai experience but for less than Dhs20 for a main course with rice you can’t complain.
Benjarong: Tasteful, ornate and finely sculpted. And that is just the décor. The Dusit specializes in Thai hospitality and the authentic restaurant is its crowning achievement.
Blue Elephant: Any restaurant with a small pond, miniature rock pools and a family of koi fish living in it deserves extra marks for opulence. The food doesn’t quite live up to the surroundings but meal deals and good service mean it should always be considered.
Buddha Bar: Not exactly a restaurant but still home to some of the best Thai food in Dubai. The Buddha Bar is a good spot to watch the great and the good of Dubai society while nibbling on tiny Thai treats and supping large cocktails..
Lemongrass: One of the most reliably authentic and tasty Thai restaurants in the city, Lemongrass offers a rare experience in urban dining escapism. Situated just behind lamcy Plaza it can be hard to find but worth looking for.
Pai Thai: It may seem like a Bond villain’s lair but you won’t want to escape Pai Thai. Time Out HQ reveals that Pai Thai is undoubtedly licensed to thrill.
Royal Orchid: Sit out at the Marina Walk and you can enjoy fine al fresco food. The Royal Orchid is a delightfully laid back and surprisingly good value stop-off.
Sukho Thai: Last time Time Out made the trip to Suko Thai we were thankful to receive the hearty portions and enjoy the excellent service.
Thai Kitchen: Add some zen-like calm to your Friday brunch with a visit to the a la carte delights on ofer at the Thai Kitchen in the Park Hyatt. It is a far cry from the stuff your face mentality of most brunches and all the better for it.
Thai Terrace: When it comes to leaving Thai Terrace, you’ll feel quite smug you’ve just eaten at this small, quirky restaurant because it’s likely to become one of your regulars. Cheap and cheerful, it serves great food, and the starters are exceptional. A Bur Dubai classic.By 0
